The property is equipped with air conditioning, a balcony, and offers mountain and waterfront views. It features a vaulted ceiling and is furnished. If you have a genuine interest to buy but still a little unsure, then why not rent before you buy? That way you can see firsthand the unit, the building and the area as well as experience the resort and what it has to offer.
The Village Alpha 1 Tomamu building was built during the bubble period in Japan in 1985 and was extremely well built. The Village Alpha has a total of 305 units spread over three wings (A, B & C). A wing is connected to B and C wings via an enclosed glass and steel walkway. The building was designed to conform to the slope of the mountain and when it was completed it won some architectural awards. Even today it is still a very uniquely designed building. The Village Alpha building is managed and staffed by Hoshino Group which manages the entire resort. It has a front desk that is staffed 7 days a week from 7am – 10pm so check-in and checking out is not a problem. Located between The Tower Hotel and Risonare, the Village Alpha building is connected by enclosed walkways to the Tower, Risonare and the newly built Hotalu (Firefly) Street, so even if there is a blizzard outside, you can still walk to the shops restaurants and hotels.
Hoshino Resort Tomamu is a vibrant resort, which is still growing and expanding. Recently (3 years ago) Club Med opened inside this resort. Last year saw the addition of Hotalu (Firefly) street with its shops and restaurants and next year there are plans to upgrade the forest mall complex. The resort has many restaurants and shops, the largest indoor wave pool in Japan and arguably the best powder snow! Hoshino Resort Tomamu (Shimukappu) is located in central Hokkaido (The North Island of Japan) in the powder belt. It is easily accessible by car, bus and train from Shin-Chitose airport (Sapporo) which is about 90 minutes away. Access from the resort to the rest of Hokkaido is very convenient. Its location makes going on day trips to places like Asahikawa (Asahidake & Kurodake), Biei, Furano or anywhere else in Hokkaido easy to do.
